THQ (NASDAQ: THQI) has just announced an expansion to its smash hit RTS game Company of Heroes.  Tales of Valor will be a stand-alone game that will feature three new campaigns, new multiplayer modes, and a new "direct-fire" mode that will allow greater tactical control in battles.  “Company of Heroes is one of the most critically acclaimed RTS series of all time,” said Peter Matiss, vice president of global brand management, THQ. “With Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor, Relic Entertainment is delivering an all-new, standalone chapter in the franchise and continues to push the boundaries of innovation and quality in the genre.” Tales of Valor will be compatible with the previous expansion, Opposing Fronts, allowing players who own the entire series complete access to the epic battles of World War II.

At the current development schedule, Tales of Valor is expected to be released sometime in the spring of 2009.
