Scratches Gone Gold

GONE GOLD posted on 21 FEB 2006 by Sean Drummy

The point-and-click horror title is now golden.

Got Game Entertainment has announced that Scratches, their point-and-click adventure/horror game, has gone gold and will be shipping soon. Scratches puts the player in the shoes of famed horror writer Michael Arthate who just recently arrived at the ominously titled Blackwood Manor, a Victorian home lost in the outskirts of a small English market town. Predictably, this house comes with a little more than a nice view and a great interest rate on your mortgage. By examining, probing, and hunting through musty rooms, an overrun greenhouse, a sinister chapel, and a forbidding crypt the player must determine the cause of these strange noises and odd occurances.

Here's what Got Game had to say:

Featuring a careful combination of inventory-based and deductive-style puzzles, integrated with a riveting storyline, non-linear gameplay, intricately detailed graphics, voice acting by Jonathan Boakes (Creator of "Dark Fall", "Dark Fall II") and John Bell (Sherlock Holmes in "The Mystery of the Mummy") and an entrancing sound track, "Scratches" immerses you in a haunting gothic atmosphere until the final shocking revelation.
Wow, that was a long sentence.

Slated for release March 1, more information on Scrathes is available from ScratchesMystery.com.
